Construction

96-Piece UD Carbon LayupWith Era carbon bars, Race Face optimized compliance by creating bar-specific carbon layups. That meant tuning the placement, angle and quantity of nearly 100 pieces of unidirectional carbon, each about 1/10th of a millimeter thick. Hand-laid carbon fibre bound with a toughened epoxy resin ensures the highest strength to weight ratio of any bar they have tested.

Features

GL TuneRace Face set out to find the optimal balance of vertical compliance and lateral stiffness (based entirely on rider feedback) and found that 85% of riders preferred one particular sweet spot of vertical compliance. That number is what they now refer to as the Goldilocks Tune or GL Tune. Anything higher than this number was too stiff, anything lower was too flexible.

  • Biking Type: Mountain More

    Biking Type

MountainMountain bikes are built for tackling rough terrain with frames made of durable materials like aluminum or carbon fiber, ensuring stability and maneuverability. They feature suspension to absorb impacts from rocks, roots, and drops, providing a smoother ride.

  • Used For: Cross Country, Downcountry, Trail, Enduro, Downhill More

    Used For

Cross CountryWith speed and pedaling efficiency in mind, cross country (XC) bikes are the lightest mountain bikes with the least suspension travel (typically 0 - 120mm). TrailTrail bikes are the quintessential “mountain bikes.” If you’re heading into the woods expecting to do it all on two wheels – climbing, technical sections, AND fun descents – you’re looking for a trail bike. EnduroIf you’re looking for maximum performance while flying down heavier trails, an enduro bike is for you. These bikes combine ample suspension travel (typically 150mm+) with descent-focused frame geometry and components that allow for reasonably efficient pedaling. DownhillFor bike park days and shuttle laps, there’s nothing like a downhill (DH) bike. Designed to tackle the roughest trails at high speeds, these bikes have long suspension travel (typically 170mm+), huge brakes, and unreal descending capabilities. DH bikes are not as suitable for tight trails or climbing.
