Rocker Type

Rocker Camber Rocker– Ski profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow.

W.S.D. (Woman Specific Design) Shape Concept– Carbon Flipcore Technology is used with a specifically designed lighter core construction to deliver the performance and playfulness that women are looking for in an all-mountain ski.

Carbon Flipcore Technology– A revolutionary rockered ski production process that incorporates a uni-directional carbon frame onto the core of the ski that results in great performance with a light and easy feel.

TrueBlend Woodcore– Combining Beech and Poplar woods in a uniquely balanced blend that´s tailored to the performance needs of each Blizzard all-mountain ski, the TrueBlend cores are labor-intensive but worth the extra effort.

Carbon Reinforcements– Edge-to-edge carbon inserts under the binding mount area provide maximum stability and confidence and better binding retention.

Two-Piece W.S.D. Titanal Laminate for Grip and Stability– No longer a single sheet of Titanal, the 2025 Black Pearl uses a two-piece laminate with a sheet of fiberglass in between the layers. The upper layer of metal resembles the shape of the FluxForm Titanal layer in the Sheeva skis and the lower layer fills in the gap in the center.

  Rocker/Camber/RockerRocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
