Rocker Type
Amphibio Profile– The Amphibio profile is a revolutionary ski design that integrates both rocker and camber profiles into dedicated left and right skis. Amphibio skis feature a cambered inside edge assuring precision, edge grip, and stability while a rockered outside edge provides forgiveness, turning ease and smooth transitions.
Core
Tubelite Wood Core– To create the TubeLite Wood Core, two super lightweight Carbon tubes are inserted into a lightweight laminated wood core. Measuring 5mm in diameter and hollow in their construction, these tubes run along the length of the ski following the arc of the side cut. They provide torsional stability and powerful rebound while allowing for material reduction of the core. The result is incredible lightweight response and stability.
Laminates
Carbon Deck Technology– A construction using Elan´s TubeLite Woodcore, Carbon Rods, UD Carbon, and Flax Fiber in a carefully prescribed layup for a combination of power and versatility
QuadRod Reinforcement– Four carbon tubes are built into the wood core for lightweight and powerful rebound.
Carbon Frame Reinforcement
Fiberglass– Fiberglass reinforcement optimizes the flex pattern and enhances torsional rigidity of the ski. The fibers are positioned either above or below the ski core and improve the ski’s structural integrity.
Sidewalls
SST (Slanted Sidewall Technology) Sidewall Construction– The SST Sidewall Construction provides quick, nimble and direct power transmission from the ski to snow as well as providing exceptional torsional rigidity.
Base
Sintered UHMW Base
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
Specs
- Terrain: All-Mountain, Big Mountain More
Terrain
All-MountainAll-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm. Big MountainBig mountain skis are designed for charging big lines with high speeds and big airs. These skis varry in width from wide, powder-oriented skis for skiing Alaska spines to narrower, mixed condition skis for ripping the beat up headwall at your local mountain. Skis in this category tend to be on the stiffer side, often with more rocker in the tip and less in the tail.
- Skis: No Bindings
- Ability Level: Advanced-Expert More
Ability Level
Advanced-ExpertWhether you charge the steepest lines, hit the biggest jumps in the park or carve with race-like precision, advanced to expert level skis, snowboards, boots and bindings are for the more aggressive rider. In skis and snowboards, you´ll often find layers of metal, carbon or other stringers for rigidity and power, while advanced to expert level boots and bindings are usually on the stiffer side of the spectrum for rebound and precision steering.
- Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker More
Rocker Type
Rocker/Camber/RockerRocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as well as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
- Turning Radius: Medium More
Turning Radius
Medium17-22 m radius is best for all-mountain and park & pipe.
- Core/Laminates: Carbon, Wood
- Tail Type: Flat More
Tail Type
FlatThis is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.
