Rocker Type

HALFcamber50The Cardiff HALFcamber places camber where it is absolutely necessary and gradual rocker everywhere else. The result is maximum glide, maneuverability and edge control. HALFcamber50 means 50% of the running surface is cambered.

Shape

PERFECTpivot 2.0Every Cardiff snowboard is uniquely designed to match the shape to the camber - resulting in a new standard of performance.

Core

CARBONcoreCardiff Enduro cores feature a poplar-paulownia construction with vertical layers of carbon fiber in-between. This simple detail helps the core retain its shape for years.

FULLplank™Cardiff splitboard cores run tip to tail with special reinforce-ments in the binding and touring hardware locations.

Laminates

TRIAXglassTwo layers of triaxial fiberglass above and below the core

Sidewalls

UNIwallSeamless urethane sidewalls fuse to cores to create the most durable and damp ride available - featured on Enduro Series decks.

BOARDERpatrol TechnologyBOARDERpatrol technology uses poplar stringers which fuse with the UNIwall seamless urethane sidewall to reinforce the edge and provide an incredibly damp ride.

Base

RACEbase™ GBlack graphite infused sintered base for maximized glide and easy repair.

Additional Features

BIloba™ SPAll CARDIFF splitboards feature a chamfered inner edge of the split ski at both the tip and tail to allow for hood free touring and damage free connection

Enduro BuildThe Enduro build is for those that require the most durable, reliable and high performance equipment. This build features Cardiff´s CARBONcore and triaxial fiberglass construction which creates a torsionally rigid ride and adds strength to the board for increased durability.

NOVERhangNOVERhang - Cardiff creates wider-wasted high performance boards that will accommodate larger boot sizes without toe drag... you´re welcome.

SPLITtech OptimizedAll CARDIFF splitboards are optimized for both soft-boot and hard-boot touring setups. Hard-boots typically have longer sole lengths than soft-boots and hard-boot bindings such as Phantom Alphas sit lower to the surface of the splitboard. This requires a slightly wider deck underfoot, which all of our splitboards feature. Our splitboard cores are reinforced in the connection areas and bindings to handle additional forces from the metal and other hard bindings.

SWALEtail™ SPOur unique recurved tails on all CARDIFF splitboards will accommodate a variety of skin tail-clips even those designed for skis

  • Terrain: Freeride, Powder, Splitboarding More

    Terrain

FreerideFreeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction. PowderPowder snowboards love powder. Often associated with freeride snowboards, powder boards sometimes feature a wider nose and a tapered narrower tail. The binding inserts, which determine the rider´s stance, are often set back on a powder snowboard to help the rider float the tip of the board through the deep stuff. Powder snowboards sometimes also feature rocker, a design element where the tip (and tail) rise starts farther back on the board, which also helps the rider maintain tip float through the pow. SplitboardingA splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you´ve reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it´s important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.

  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced More

    Ability Level

Intermediate-AdvancedWhether you’re a progressing intermediate exploring new runs and terrain, or an accomplished rider seeking new thrills, the majority of skiers and snowboarders fall into this level. Intermediate to advanced skis and snowboards may be somewhat wider or stiffer than beginner-intermediate skis and snowboards, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Intermediate to advanced boots and bindings range from softer flexing freestyle options to stiffer choices built for stability at speed.

  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker More

    Rocker Type

Rocker/Camber/RockerRocker/Camber/Rocker shapes seek to give you both hard-carving edgehold on firm snow from camber underfoot with enhanced turnability and float in powder from the rockered tip and tail. This profile is increasingly popular for freeride boards designed primarily for soft snow.

  • Shape: Directional
  • Flex Rating: Medium More

    Flex Rating

MediumThe amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers´ number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
