Rocker Type

CamberCamber is the base of snowboarding: you need to have enough edgehold to drive in and out of turns. The camber does exactly that, allowing you to drive your turns longer and release later.

Flex

Flex 9(1 Soft - 10 Stiff)

Shape

UnderBiteUnderBite edges re-distribute a rider’s weight in such a way that it enhances turning ease and edge hold. Creating divots inward at the binding area reduces and disrupts the surface area of the edge that has contact with the snow while the board is turning. This increases the edge pressure by distributing your weight/energy in the areas where you need it - from the binding out, and through the center of the board where the carving arc is taking place. This segmentation of the sidecut into 3 key zones focuses your body weight onto areas that initiate, hold and release turns.

Core

Poplar / Paulownia / BambooCreating a lighter, more responsive core than the Full Poplar. The Poplar + Bamboo uses the same durable core, lightens it up by replacing 30% of the Poplar with Paulownia and then inserts two bamboo stringers down the full length for added pop and response.

Laminates

TriaxRobust torsional flex.

Base

Sintered TruePellets or course powder is pressed until it forms a solid. There are several suppliers for our entire industry and they each have different codes for them, depending on the color and transparency. These codes can make it seem like you’re getting many different kinds and grades of sintered but they’re all pretty much the same as far as you and I will ever tell. True Sintered is harder and more expensive than extruded and it can be faster for those that ride aggressively fast. But to do that, it needs to be waxed and prepared for local conditions.

Binding Compatibility

2 x 4 Inserts

Specs

  • Terrain: Splitboarding More

    Terrain

SplitboardingA splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you´ve reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it´s important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.

  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert More

    Ability Level

Advanced-ExpertWhether you charge the steepest lines, hit the biggest jumps in the park or carve with race-like precision, advanced to expert level skis, snowboards, boots and bindings are for the more aggressive rider. In skis and snowboards, you´ll often find layers of metal, carbon or other stringers for rigidity and power, while advanced to expert level boots and bindings are usually on the stiffer side of the spectrum for rebound and precision steering.

  • Rocker Type: Camber More

    Rocker Type

CamberCamber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.

  • Shape: Directional
  • Flex Rating: Very Stiff More

    Flex Rating

Very StiffThe amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers´ number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
