1:1 Medium Flex PowerUP Tongue– Burton offers 1:1 lasting on every boot. It means every half and full size shell, tongue, and out sole offer a precise fit that is not as common as one would think. Drop your loot on a Burton boot and you won´t be stuck with the slop of a mismatched shell and liner. PowerUP tongues feature additional dual-density material for rebound and durability.

Articulating Cuff– Allowing the upper and lower zones of the boot to flex independently creates fluid forward motion, minimizes shell distortion, and maximizes heel hold and response.

Life Liner– The Life Liner fuses lightweight materials with a more relaxed feel for high-end performance that makes all the difference during long seasons filled with hard charging days. The responsive PU tongue construction provides a combo of cat-like quickness and long-term resistance to breakdown, while also accommodating a better fit for all foot shapes.

Velcro® Liner Closure

DryRide Heat Cycle™ Lining– Warmth and wicking are two key traits for on-snow comfort. Burton´s breathable inner-lining technology utilizes interwoven thermally activated carbon thread to capture, radiate, and reflect body heat inward to keep feet warmer while also wicking heat-robbing moisture outward. Look for varying amounts and performance level of each liner.

Plush Cuff 2.0– The Plush Cuff 2.0 steps to the next level with a separate cuff that wraps the bottom of your calf and stretches to fit a greater range of shapes and sizes.

Tuff Cuff Lite– Ankle support and inner cuff stability is mandatory in a pro-level boot. Burton´s solution is the Tuff Cuff, which increases heel hold and wraps the ankle with medial and lateral support while still flexing freely from toe to heel.

PodBED Dual Density Outsole– The PodBED outsole was designed in tandem with the Escapade EST’s PodBED cushioning, but enhances comfort with any binding. Targeted stiffness and dual density EVA foam balances response with dampening, a gel heel absorbs impact, and a rubber toe/heel ensures a lightweight grip. 10-15% recycled rubber content depending on model treads lighter on the planet, too.

Snow-Proof Internal Gusset– All Burton boot tongues feature an internal gusset construction to completely seal the lower zone of the boot, keeping your feet warm and dry.

  StiffThe amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers´ number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
