Rocker Type

Directional RockerA hybrid rocker/camber flex pattern defined by more tip rocker then tail rocker and camber between the bindings. The rockered tip floats the board’s nose and improves maneuverability while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response. A slightly rockered tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board but helps keep the tail catch-free initiating turns and landing switch.

Flex

Flex Rating8 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)

Forever FlexAll Jones boards are broken in using specialized machinery that mimics extreme riding use to help stabilize the flex and rocker profile of a board for it´s lifetime.

Directional Flex Pattern

Shape

Blunt Nose"How a board glides in powder, crust, corn or any snow more than an inch deep is dictated by it´s front contact point and just past it. Next time you are in soft snow watch how much snow comes over the corner of the nose near the contact point. The billowing snow coming out from behind the tip means you are plowing through it which is obviously slowing you down. By adding a blunt nose you get the float benefits of a much longer nose without the ´snow plow´ rounded tip and it´s extra swing weight." - Jeremy Jones

Progressive SidecutAt the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.

Core

Koroyd® CoreAward-winning synthetic core material developed for the aerospace industry. Koroyd absorbs vibrations and adds response at a fraction of the weight of wood which enhances board control and riding confidence.

Fusion CoreThe Fusion Core is Jones´ lightest wood core yet. Core is made from mostly paulownia with specifically positioned pockets of poplar for improved durability and response.

Laminates

Fiberglass ReinforcementFiberglass layer improve pop in nose and tail plus increases the longevity of the flex profile. This lightweight layer helps the board perform the same on day 100 as it did on day one - precise and playful.

Ultra ConstructionUltra Construction is the redefinition of what it takes to build a snowboard. Jones tested every inch of the board to precisely position materials exactly where they are needed while eliminating all excess materials. Combining these innovative construction techniques with superlight wood cores and carbon fiber deliver revolutionary results. Jones Ultra boards are the lightest, yet most durable snowboards on earth.

Sidewalls

Recycled Rounded ABSABS plastic is one of the necessary evils of snowboard production. Jones improves the sustainability of their snowboards by using only recycled plastic.

Base

Ultra BaseJones exclusive base material that sets new performance standards. Lab results and snow testing show 25% better wax absorption, better glide in warm/wet snow and better durability for grinding. They´ve also doubled the amount of wax and mixed multiple wax types for a faster factory wax in a wider range of conditions.

Edges

Inner Thin Recycled EdgesAdvancements in ski edge durability allow Jones to use thinner edges to save weight.

Topsheet

Ultralight ECO-TopsheetSuper damp, durable and lightweight topsheet material made from organic plant material.

Additional Features

Karakoram Ultra Clips 3C with Tips LockKarakoram Ultra Clips 3C feature a three point tension system. Ultralight and exclusive to Jones, these clips redefine split clip technology. They are also adjustable so you can maintain even compression as your splitboard ages.

Wend Natural WaxJones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax.

Bio ResinAll Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy. The raw materials used to make Super Sap Bio-Resin are co-products or waste products of other plant-based industrial processes. Producing Super Sap requires 33% less greenhouse gas emissions than conventional epoxy.

Factory TunedAll Jones snowboards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.

  • Terrain: Splitboarding More

    Terrain

SplitboardingA splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you´ve reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it´s important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.

  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert More

    Ability Level

Advanced-ExpertWhether you charge the steepest lines, hit the biggest jumps in the park or carve with race-like precision, advanced to expert level skis, snowboards, boots and bindings are for the more aggressive rider. In skis and snowboards, you´ll often find layers of metal, carbon or other stringers for rigidity and power, while advanced to expert level boots and bindings are usually on the stiffer side of the spectrum for rebound and precision steering.

  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker More

    Rocker Type

Rocker/Camber/RockerRocker/Camber/Rocker shapes seek to give you both hard-carving edgehold on firm snow from camber underfoot with enhanced turnability and float in powder from the rockered tip and tail. This profile is increasingly popular for freeride boards designed primarily for soft snow.

  • Shape: Directional
  • Flex Rating: Stiff More

    Flex Rating

StiffThe amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers´ number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
